The hotel stands in attractive gardens facing the enchanting Lago Maggiore; it boasts magnificent views of the Borromean Islands   and the surrounding alps. Originally built in 1861, internally it has been continually renovated until 1999 keeping in theme with its original, unaltered "belle epoque" façade. 124 double rooms, 6 singles, 34 Junior suites and 11 suites, including the new luxurious "Hemingway Suite".  Both suites and Junior suites feature a bath with a whirlpool (jacuzzi-style bath tub). All rooms have air conditioning and satellite television with an extensive choice of worldwide satellite channels.

      The Hotel hosts a famous Centro Benessere with indoor swimming pool . All programs are carefully and constantly monitored by a high level medical staff, and a team of experts customizes a program of physical activities, die and beauty treatments to suit each particpant's specific needs.  Generally lasting for seven days, pkgs. can be customized for fewer or more days upon request.
      Location: One hour from Milan, a train comes direct to Stresa and takes just one hour, at the cost of 15 €. The hotel is within walking distance of the Stresa station. A private car transfer from Malpensa Airport: 115 € and from Linate Airport 185 € -  one way.
